Day 2: What a difference a day makes

Hello Waffles fanatics!!!

I have a much happier four legged resident today! She had a very long day on her own, which is less than ideal for a scared little girl in a new place. But she did great! No accidents and everything how i left it (for the most part, not sure how that slipper got on the couch, Waffles!).

She was so excited when I got home and we ran out into the back yard. I'm sans leash and collar at the moment, so for exercise we just ran up and down the driveway. Yes, that's as crazy at it sounds.

Waffles is afraid of many things including cell phones and her name. But one thing she is not afraid of is food. Oh does this little girl like to eat!!! Her dog food is gone in one second and she's ready for more. Weird thing is, she doesn't beg or even stare when I eat. She's interested, but mostly just turns her back to me and sleeps. I have never met a dog who isn't angling for a bite.

Night 1: Sleeping beauty

Stay tuned for the tale (tail?) of Waffles! Waffles is a sweet dog who needs a great home! Today was her jail break from the shelter. We won't discuss what today could have been for Waffles. So let's just call it, new life, day 1. She had a bath, which was not her favorite thing, but she was a trooper. Then a little dinner and that was all she could handle for one day.

Many more details (and pictures) to come. But we're all in need of a good rest for now.
