A bath, a walk, a new toy, and a new friend

Virgil had a very nice and LAZY day. I had to force him out of bed at 11 am!

Since Virgil does not seem to want to go potty in the yard, including a 4 am attempt, I figured I better get him out on a walk (success!). Once we came home Virgil went promptly to the tub. He was not super stoked about that, but now he's nice and clean. He then hopped right into bed to dry off. Luckily, I had a towel down. I left him in there and went back to work and about 5 minutes later he came into my office and laid down on the dog bed, where he stayed the rest of the day.

After work, we went out to the pet store where we got a new toy. About halfway through the trip to the store he perked up a ton and even started running a little he was so excited to be out in the world. Not sure what caused this turn around, but now he's just the happiest little guy. 

Lastly, we went to see our friends next door. Virgil was a little afraid of his new friend Taiger, which is funny because Taiger is about 5 lbs. Virgil mostly hid behind me. I think he'll come around next time as he's had a lot of upheaval lately.

He is presently curled up next to me on the couch. What a good boy.
